According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, a number of Italy players blame Donadoni for the defeat, and sent text messages after the game to players not in the squad, criticizing the coach. And It is now being speculated that Nesta, Oddo or Inzaghi might have gotten this message:
“Physically we are fine, but we enter onto the field with fear,” one World Champion wrote to another World Champion.
“We only know who plays a few hours before the game. We are treated like children.”
I don’t think this message is gotten from Nesta. Considering Sandro’s character, it’s impossible. He wouldn’t tell the content of the message to journalist even though he really got it.
People guess that will be Nesta, Oddo or Inzaghi just because they lost the election and they are Milan’s player (“Gazzetta dello Sport” is in Milan). In fact, this message may be imaginary by journalist. You know, nobody will disprove it and the journalist also knows this point. He just want to censure Donadoni convictively. I don’t like journalist.
i know it’s not Nesta. I am just so bored that i think trying to figure out who this guy is is a good game to kill our time @@
@hongru, different sources have mentioned it. Corriere dello Sport also mentions it and it’s said Totti got some SMS from Italian players too@@
i am just curious@@
forza | Jun 11, 18:39 | #My guess is Inzaghi, I remember he was interviewed by Gazzetta the day after the disastrous game.
I’m more curious about who sent the message, must be one of Pirlo and Gattuso, and how he reacted to the news.
Gwendlyn | Jun 11, 18:54 | #I guess the player who sent the message is Gattuso, considering his straightness 〉〈
Dona is an idiot, he lost the last piece of respect(if there used be a little) of the players.
here is the article by gazzetta
Siamo trattati come bambini”, ha spiegato per telefono un altro azzurro a un altro rimasto a casa.so there are two players, (at least)
one (world champion) to another (world champion who stays at home, i.e., nesta, inzaghi, oddo, totti) via SMS and the message says: Fisicamente stiamo bene, ma entriamo in campo con la paura.
there is another player (not necessarily world champion) talked to another player (not necessarily world champion) on the phone : “Non proviamo mai la squadra, sappiamo chi gioca poche ore prima della partita. Siamo trattati come bambini…”
i think it might be inzaghi (interviews w/ gazzetta that day) or oddo (who has friends in media, lol). and let’s not forget that Totti talked to De Rossi on the phone that day@@
i absolutely agree it’s very interesting to guess who, maybe more than one, sent the message/ made the phone call…
