(Novum) – Paolo Maldini, Gennaro Gattuso en Romario zijn drie van de vele grote namen die acte de présence zullen geven bij de afscheidswedstrijd van Jaap Stam. De wedstrijd tussen een gelegenheidsteam onder leiding van Guus Hiddink en het Ajax van Marco van Basten wordt op 26 juli in het stadion van FC Zwolle gespeeld.

Ook de oud-teamgenoten van Stam Alessandro Nesta en Filippo Inzaghi hebben in principe toegezegd naar Zwolle te komen. Namens Nederland hebben onder andere Ronald Waterreus, Frank en Ronald de Boer, Phillip Cocu, Clarence Seedorf, Patrick Kluivert, Dennis Bergkamp en Edgar Davids bevestigd mee te spelen in het gelegenheidsteam van Stam.

De ‘Rots van Kampen’ begon zijn carrière bij FC Zwolle en kwam één seizoen voor de club uit. Via Cambuur Leeuwarden en Willem II belandde hij in 1996 bij PSV. In zijn verdere loopbaan kwam de 67-voudig international uit voor Manchester United, Lazio Roma, AC Milan en Ajax.

Zwolle meldt op de website dat er nog kaarten beschikbaar zijn voor het duel in het nieuwe onderkomen van de club. Het programma staat volledig in het teken van het afscheid van de in oktober gestopte Stam en wordt omlijst met optredens van onder meer Opgezwolle en Thomas Berge.

Seedorf che non ha preso parte alla spedizione europea con la sua Olanda, sta dedicando molto tempo di questa sua estate anche ad attivita` di tipo umanitario, come la campagna `Goal4Africa` per la quale ha organizzato un match a scopo benefico alla `Allianz Arena` di Monaco di Baviera per il 12 luglio e nel quale ha coinvolto anche altri suoi colleghi: `Ne ho parlato con John Terry e mi ha dato la sua disponibilita`, cosi` come Andrei Shevchenko, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba, Steven Gerrard, mentre Ryan Babel non potra` esserci perche` infortunato. Dovrebbero essere dei nostri anche Sergio Ramos, Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso e Alessandro Nesta. Naturalmente so che non e` facile lasciare liberi i giocatori da parte dei vari clubs, ma ho parlato con tutte le loro squadre e i loro allenatori, per fare in modo che permettano loro di giocare questa partita davvero importante per tantissimi bambini`

i like Miami South Beach a lot. It’s very relaxing. housing prices speak for itself, at least partially:) and no one really knows him there and you don’t have to speak English at all.

Adrian Mutu è sbarcato stamattina a Fiumicino, da Miami, alle 9.55 insieme alla moglie Consuelo e ai figli. Con il fantasista viola, è arrivato nella Capitale anche il difensore del Milan, Alessandro Nesta, che pochi minuti dopo ha preso il volo diretto per Milano. Mutu, invece, è ancora in aeroporto in attesa della coincidenza per Firenze prevista per le 13.30. Avvicinato da due tifosi, David e Francesco (rispettivamente di 27 e 26 anni, che hanno raccontato questo episodio all’emittente Rete Sport e al Romanista), alla domanda “Vieni alla Roma il prossimo anno?”, Adrian si è limitato a rispondere “Non lo so”, che può voler dire tutto e può non voler dire niente.

It’s a good thing we decided not to go to that game since he is coming to Holland (at least we hope so) we saw the game on Sky but as the others have mentioned, he wasn’t there :(

on a side note, Forza, Molly added a lot of pictures of Sandro on our forum on Sunday, they include some of his interview during the opening of the clothing store with Kaladze before the euro (remember when he said about not having the shots) and the interview on Sfide about the Euro 2000

@Clau, about goal4africa, no reason for his absence is given and on that day, ACMilan.com and Sky both said Nesta was confirmed to show up. But he only got back to Italy yesterday:(

this is a real mistery, is like someone else besides him was confirming that he was going…weird if you ask me and annoying too, we all got our hopes up for nothing!
I honestly hope is not the same for the Jaap match cos I would die if we went all nuts for nothing, well ok it won’t be for nothing, it’ll be fun to see some of the other players that will be there but you know what I mean (fingers crossed)
