Milan 2-3 Man Utd

I am very disappointed:-( Leonardo made some strategic mistakes. Nesta played so-so. Hope Milan will get an overwhelming victory at Old Trafford the next round…
Forza milan! Forza Nesta!

I think there wasn’t any mistake from Leo’s side,we lost the match because we hadn’t chance to score our opportunities! And we hadn’t Borriello, Abate,Zambrotta and ready Nesta and Pato.If we play like we played in San Siro, surly we can win in Old Trafford.

Thanks for the update!
Leo brought Inzaghi too late,in my opinion. Nesta made big mistakes. I think he +Silva were not fit enough, yet. I really blame Berlu`s + Galli`s awful transfer management for the loss. Milan would need fresh legs but Milan got only old Becks +Mancini, who is injured after being benched on Inter.
Forza Sandro! Best luck! Fingers crossed that he will be fit soon!

The only way to counter such speed is with speed itself. Cannavaro, Grosso, and Zambrotta are not going to cope with any of the above attackers, though a new generation that could is waiting in the background. And yet, it seems that the solution for Italy a nation that’s notorious for relying on age and waiting on youth is already there, just waiting to be chosen. Half of the solution, anyway, is good to go. Assuming he’s fit, Chiellini will start every game that Italy plays in Africa, and for good reason. His youth and speed means that he can match up to the fastest of players. His reading of the game is ever improving, and he adds security and stability to the back-line. Half of the center-back pairing, then, is good and ready.

It’s the other half that needs to be worked on. Cannavaro is more likely to serve as a weight on the back-line, an anchor which renders it less mobile and flexible than it could be. No, the ideal center-back pairing for South Africa isn’t Canna-Chiellini but Nesta-Chiellini. The two would serve as perfect compliments to each other, foils to render nearly any attack useless. Youth and experience; speed and intelligence; physicality and grace. Milan’s net is safer when Nesta is in front of it, and as Juve have learned recently, Buffon picks balls out of the net much less often when the Kaiser is guarding it. You just get the feeling that if Lippi could call Nesta out of retirement, and drop Canna from the starting lineup, then Italy’s chances are looking pretty good. Of course, dropping the captain and calling players out of retirement are two facets of Marcello Lippi that have rarely, if ever, been seen.

The two together could be the simple, ready made solution to all the Azzurri’s problems. Well, the defensive problems, anyway- the problems in attack are another story entirely.
