During the interview, he said

Before the operation we thought that it was difficult that I would return before the end of the season. However, during the operation we saw that there was still a piece of tendon which was attached. Therefore, the absence should be less long. As always, now I’ll pull my sleeves and start working.

Nesta tears knee tendon
Friday 12 March, 2010
Milan centre-back Alessandro Nesta has revealed that a tendon in his knee has been torn after a scan this morning.

The 33-year-old injured himself in training before Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Manchester United.

His knee swelled up and at first it was thought he had torn the meniscus.

However, further tests conducted at Rome’s Villa Stuart today showed that he has in fact torn the popliteo tendon in his right knee.

Speaking outside the clinic, Nesta said: “I have a torn tendon. We will judge whether to operate or undergo a conservative course of therapy.

“This tear probably happened in two different games and for this reason I will stop and evaluate whether to have an operation or not.

“Perhaps I will manage to play again before the end of the season if I have the operation,” he concluded.

Poor boy >>><<< Good luck, get well soon!
